The Problem
Many poultry farms still rely on epoxy flooring, but this material has major drawbacks that can lead to serious health and financial risks.
➔ Epoxy is an organic material – Bacteria and pathogens thrive on organic surfaces.
➔ Risk of contamination – Chickens may ingest peeling epoxy residues.
➔ Cannot withstand high-temperature cleaning Epoxy floors cannot be cleaned with 200°C steam.
➔ Weak resistance to acids – Organic acids from waste can degrade epoxy over time.
➔ Not fully moisture-resistant – Constant exposure to water can cause damage.
➔ Environmental concerns – Epoxy is not the most eco-friendly option.
The ETS Flooring Advantage
ETS flooring is specifically designed to address these issues and provide a safer, more durable, and cost-effective solution for poultry farms.
➔ Inorganic material – Resistant to extreme temperatures (up to 500°C).
➔ Bacteria-resistant – When combined with Eco Hydro Sil, bacterial growth is significantly reduced.
➔ Freeze-thaw resistant – Maintains durability in all climates.
➔ Higher acid resistance – With Eco Hydro Sil, it withstands organic acids better.
➔ Perfect for wet environments – No moisture-related damage.
➔ Steam-cleanable at over 200°C – Ensures superior hygiene.
➔ No hazardous labels – ETS Eco Rapid and ETS Eco Resist are label-free.
➔ Superior durability – ETS Eco Floor is three times more resistant than epoxy systems.

Protect Your Poultry, Protect Your Profits
One of the biggest concerns in the poultry industry is the risk of salmonella outbreaks. A single infection can lead to:
• Costly veterinary expenses
• Antibiotic treatments that reduce meat quality
• Major financial losses due to infected flocks
• In extreme cases, complete facility shutdowns

Materials and Consumption
Our silicate-based products utilize natural and ecological materials such as GBBS, pumice stone, fly ash, recycled materials, and, of course, silicate technology.
By employing our binding technology, we offer a more sustainable alternative while also enhancing the durability of the materials.
Due to the increased durability of ESS materials, consumption is reduced compared to alternative products. With our product line, you can expect a 50-75% reduction in usage. For example, our systems function effectively at a 3mm thickness, whereas cement-based products may require up to 12mm and still offer less competitive properties than ESS’s silicate products.
Climate and Allergies
We prioritize making a positive impact on the environment and ensuring that our craftsmen and customers operate in healthier environments, free from illnesses associated with the use of our products.
Our ESS product line holds Emicode EC1 Plus certifications, representing the highest standards in indoor climate quality and is awarded only to materials with the lowest VOC emissions. Additionally, this certification is granted only to products with exceptionally low CO₂ emissions.

Frequently asked questions
Quality and Durability
While climate and health are always important to our customers, the quality of the materials used is also a top priority. ESS products ensure this with several advantages and qualities, where we are best in test:
• All our products are diffusion-open, preventing materials from shrinking, cracking, or blistering.
• The products are resistant to chemicals, salt, UV rays, bacteria, and can be engineered to withstand high mechanical stress.
• We often hear from customers needing to support heavy loads, robots, or similar equipment. With ESS, you are assured compressive strengths ranging from C40 to C80.
Production and Capacity
Regarding ESS’s capacity, we can always source our raw materials, as our technology is compatible with local silicate sources worldwide.
However, it is important to plan ahead for large projects.
We can produce 100,000 m² per month in Europe.
